About Madison County Court Docket

Madison County court information is maintained at more than one court level. Nebraska’s statewide search system, the Madison County Court clerk, and the Clerk of the District Court each serve a different part of the records path. This private reference resource brings those paths together so a reader can identify the likely court, understand the register of actions, and use the official source that holds the record.

Why We Built This Site

Nebraska provides public access to many court records, yet the first practical question is often which court has the file. Madison County Court is the limited-jurisdiction trial court for matters such as traffic, misdemeanors, small claims, probate, juvenile matters, and preliminary felony activity. The Nebraska District Court, Seventh Judicial District keeps the separate District Court register and file for felony trial cases, major civil cases, domestic relations, protection orders, and other district matters. The official Nebraska JUSTICE case-information service is statewide rather than a county-built portal. It can show selected case information, but the clerk remains the source for an identified official or certified record.

What You Will Find Here

The material is organized around the records and access routes available in Madison County. It is intended to make a court search more focused, not to replace the court’s own register or staff.

What We Cannot Do

Madison County Court Docket is privately operated and is not connected to a Nebraska court, clerk, or government agency. The official work remains with the court that has jurisdiction and its clerk.

  • We cannot provide an official register of actions, order, or case file.
  • We cannot set, alter, or confirm a hearing date.
  • We cannot seal, amend, or remove a court record.
  • We cannot issue certified copies of court documents.
  • We cannot give legal advice about a filing, charge, order, or case.
  • We cannot guarantee that a court’s current fees, procedures, or availability have not changed.

For a record with legal effect, contact the court that holds the case. Madison County Court clerk Leah Buhrman and Clerk of the District Court Monica Rotherham maintain separate court-level records.

Search Partners

Some content pages contain a search box provided by an outside company. That provider controls its own service, results, charges, and privacy practices. A paid enrollment or purchase through such a provider may produce referral revenue that supports this resource. Those tools do not replace the official JUSTICE search, a courthouse terminal, or a clerk-issued copy.
